LinkedIn Seminar by Consultek
Introduction to LinkedIn “You Don’t Know Who You Don’t Know”
Worldwide over 43 million people have created an account on LinkedIn, the on-line business network website that has members in over 200 countries; it has executives from all Fortune 500 companies in the US and most of the FTSE 100 quoted companies here in the UK. Informed opinion has it that more than 90% or 38 million+ are still trying to understand how to use LinkedIn to grow their business.
Here in the UK there are 2 million+ accounts and the same statistics apply, therefore 1.8 million are out there struggling, how fantastic is the value in being the first in your business sector and/or geographical location to really connect your business to the real power of the LinkedIn site?
We believe in the UK business people generally are stuck in traditional thinking when it comes to business networking, hence the continued proliferation of ‘face-to face’ network groups, corporate entertainment days, business breakfasts and all the other means businesses use to build and maintain a relationship with existing clients and prospect for new business
We also believe that LinkedIn should not replace any of those activities but enhance the experience by facilitating far more focus and targeting of people and companies, thereby making networking more productive by reducing the ‘scattergun’ risk in most of today’s network meetings.
A seminar in August saw 40 delegates register for a demonstration of the power of the business networking site LinkedIn.
Steve Windsor of Consultek demonstrated what a fantastic tool LinkedIn is for seeking out key business people in companies in all the commercial and industrial sectors that you want to do business with plus building relationships with those people that go on to result in invoiceable contracts and sales.
